WEDDING PRICING

YOURS FOR THE DAY

Depending on the type of celebration, a full day’s coverage for me usually lasts about 10-12 hours. I’ve known some to gradually wind down after dinner, I’ve known others to be still going strong at 2am in the hotel pool. Either way, I start a good two hours before the ceremony and stay for at least an hour after the first dance. For this reason, I keep things simple and offer just one package.

From breweries in Brixton, to castles in Cork …

I divide my time between Dorset and London but I love to travel further afield whenever I get the chance. I’ve been lucky enough for my work to have taken me all over the U.K. as well as parts of Europe, photographing all sorts of fantastic venues a long the way and it would be great to add a few more destinations to that list. So, whether it’s a a beach in Bali or a pub in Putney, give me a shout, because I’d love to get involved.

THE INVESTMENT

I work on a first come, first served basis and whilst some parts of the year can be quieter than others, the spring and summer months can get booked up well in advance.

PRE-CEREMONY PREP

Any type of pre-ceremony preparation is one of my favourite things to document. For me, it’s less about photographing hanging dresses and polished cufflinks and more about capturing the excitement and nervous energy that is so unique to that part of the day. Sometimes it can be a moment of quiet reflection and others it’s a chance to see off a few drinks with your best mates. Either way, it’s intimate, it’s significant to you and your gang and it’s a lot of fun to be a part of!

.

THE CEREMONY

Whether it lasts ten minutes or two hours, takes place in a cathedral or in the local boozer, your ceremony is the headliner, the main event, the reason that all your people have come together. It’s a beautiful, expressive, emotional moment and I pick my spots to make sure that I don’t miss a thing. It’s also a deeply personal experience and I treat it accordingly. The last thing anyone needs when committing their life to another person is a volley of flashes and a camera lens popping up between their legs.

GROUP PHOTOS

‘Family Formals’, as they’re unaffectionately known, are often dismissed as being ‘stuffy’ or ‘old fashioned’, which really doesn’t have to be the case. I usually ask my couples to write down a short list of proposed groups in one our planning meetings to keep things quick and simple on the day. Then it’s just a case of getting your nearest and dearest in place for a quick snap and then back to the bar asap. If your gran wants to throw gang signs and your nephew refuses to wear a shirt, then that’s all good. Families are complicated and I’m here for it. .

.

THE PORTRAITS

Portraits of the two of you will organically happen throughout the day. A fit of giggles halfway through the ceremony, picking confetti out of each other’s teeth or inappropriately grinding on the dance floor are all types of opportunities where I can capture the both of you lost in the moment and at your natural best. That said, it’s always a good idea to take 15-20 mins out to have a little stroll with me and my camera. Nothing weird, nothing cringe-worthy, just a wander around the block for a few relaxed portraits, a chance to step back from the crowd and quietly appreciate your brand new life.

SPEECHES

A wedding is one of the few occasions in life that offers such an array of emotions all under one roof, and at no point is this more obvious, than during speeches. Whether they have people rolling in the aisles, sobbing into their champers or cringing behind their napkins, photographing people’s reactions to them all is one of my favourite parts of the day. Discreetly flitting from one table to the next allows me to capture you and your guests at your most beautifully unguarded and expressive.

.

THE DANCE FLOOR

The number one component of nailing any type of documentary photography is knowing when to quietly observe and when to get in on the action. The dance floor is definitely all about the latter. By the time the tunes start to drop everyone’s high on love and table wine, any pre-wedding nerves are long gone and even the most dedicated of wall-flowers are ready to throw shapes. Getting in amongst the flailing limbs and flying cocktails is the only way to capture this chaos in all its beauty.

You’re not alone. In fact, I’m yet to meet anyone who LOVES having their photo taken. So, please don’t let this keep you up at night – it’s my job to make you guys feel comfortable in front of me and my camera. My portraits look to capture who you are as a couple, so I’d never expect anything unnatural from anyone. It’s all about getting to know you, hanging out together on the day and photographing whatever happens there and then.

The first thing you need to do is get in touch via my ‘contact’ page to make sure I’m available for your day. I always encourage couples to then book in a face to face meeting whenever possible, just to give us the chance to get to know each other a little and to make sure you feel like I’m the right person for the job. A £500 booking fee locks your date into the diary and the remaining balance is due one calendar month before your celebration takes place.

Absolutely! I’ll always jump at the chance to travel. Transport and accommodation expenses would need to be covered, but I always look to do this in the most suitable and economical way possible. Let me know what long distance plans you’re making and between us we can work something out.

Albums, art books, frames, greeting cards and a whole lot more are available in my online store. The store can be found in the password protected gallery that I present all your final images in. Anyone who has access to the gallery can design and create all types of printed goods simply by dragging and dropping their chosen photos and then clicking ‘make’.

Venues that are situated 100 miles north of London or 100 miles west of Poole (Dorset) are charged at a standard rate. Everywhere else that falls inside those parameters, is included in my fee.

I do. I have a small select team of trusted, reliable ‘second shooters’ who I’ve got to know and like over the years. For larger celebrations (100+ guests) or for celebrations that are made up of various parts and locations, a second photographer is something that I’d always recommend.
